The Au Pair Connection, owned by Desiré Webb, is a registered agency situated in the Boland area. We place suitable au pairs with suitable families in the Cape. Our unusual approach to childcare is used by career-orientated families as well as single and working parents.

Desiré, a qualified nursery school teacher, was an au pair herself for several years in Somerset West before deciding to use her knowledge as an experienced au pair and teacher to assist other parents in finding the right au pair for their family. Our aim is to assist families in finding and introducing suitable au pairs and to match the au pair’s personality, abilities, knowledge and availability with the family’s requirements. We interview and screen all au pairs before introducing them to clients.

Although we are a local au pair agency, we often assist families from abroad in finding, screening and introducing suitable South African au pairs wanting to au pair overseas.

The Au Pair Connection is also available to assist families in finding a suitable companion for an elderly loved one as well as a long-term, permanent babysitter for evening child care.
